Cluedo: Harry Potter

Hogwarts is filled with mysteries and in Clue: Harry Potter, you will be called on to solve one more of them. Dark magic is in play in the school and a student has vanished. It is up to you to solve the mystery and save them. You can play as Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville, or Luna. You explore the school, ferret out its secrets, and then go to Dumbledore.

Designed by Rob Daviau, the game was published in 2008 by Hasbro. Clue: Harry Potter can be played by 3 to 5 players and the play time is around 30 minutes. As such, the game has achieved some popularity and is quite in demand among Potterheads. The game comes with different card decks – dark mark cards, help cards, character cards, and mystery cards, as well as a board. There are also three dice – two regular ones and one with the Hogwarts houses.

Clue: Harry Potter is a unique take on the classic Clue game. It has a similar theme but it is set in the Harry Potter world. The USP of this game is that the board is constantly changing on each turn as the wheels on the board are turned, each time revealing new secrets in Hogwarts – such as hidden staircases and the Dark Mark!

You play as one of the six characters mentioned above. One of you has disappeared and it is up to the others to find them. As Hogwarts gradually reveals its secrets, you get to know who is your ally and who is your enemy. You win if you corner the right person. You lose if you accuse the wrong culprit or if you run out of house points. If all players run out of points, then the dark side wins. Of course, you can’t afford that, especially with Bellatrix Lestrange on the loose!
